Reflection Blog post

  1. My favorite part about this semester was investing in a topic that I forgot that I loved so much. Tennis was a big part of my life in high school and it was a sport that I got to continue as I got older, but I lost the spark that I had when I was competitively playing it on a daily basis. Getting to focus on this amazing sport really made me appreciate the culture, the competition, and the fun that tennis carries with it. Filming, recording audio, and editing were also some fun things that I enjoyed this semester
  2. I learned the basics of video editing and learned how to photoshop and I wasn’t to invest a bit more time in those. My best friend is a photographer who loves photo, video and many other camera involved things and I never understood why he was so passionate about it until now. I can see now where his drive comes from and I myself enjoyed the assignments we were given this semester.
  3. My dream is to work in the sports broadcasting world, and I hope my time here and my experience will lead me down a path in that direction. Many of these major sports companies that we see have a lot of visual editing and use many programs that we used this semester. I believe that if bring some of the skills I learned to the table, I would find that I could have an advantage when it comes to applying for jobs and internships.
  4. I don’t believe there any skills that I can think of that I could add to what I learned this semester.
  5. I mainly stuck to the sources that we used in class and didn’t really seek anything outside of that.
  6. I very much enjoyed this class and I hope to possibly use the tools and skills I learned in this class someday in a professional environment.

Thank you for a great semester, Isaiah Sharp
